Gerry Bobsien has worked as the director of a cultural centre, a public art curator and as an industrial blacksmith in a forge in Melbourne. She grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney and then via everywhere else now live in Newcastle, Australia
Gerry’s first novel Surf Ache, was published in 2009. It is a story about a family who embark on a sea-change moving from Melbourne to the coastal city of Newcastle. It is a story about family and love and the secrets we keep.
Gerry’s most recent titles are The Colour of Trouble and Vinni Versus Bluebottle.
Gerry is interested in engaging young people in conversations about creativity, art, writing and design.
